Leadership

Meet our results-driven executive team, each with over 20 years of experience in real estate and construction.

Jonathan Wilcox runs the development company within Wilcox Communities and is charged with all acquisitions, zoning, development, and construction of the company’s communities. His mix of legal, government, and real estate development experience gives Jonathan a unique perspective on the industry and insight into the needs of each community. In 2006, Jonathan joined the family real estate business and expanded the company’s footprint into the Cleveland market. During the market downturn, he shifted the company’s focus to acquiring distressed assets from lenders and builders and was responsible for multiple below-market acquisitions in the Ohio market. In 2013, seeing the emerging demand for single-story rental communities, and drawing upon the company’s deep experience in ranch-style condominium development, Jonathan began the development of the company’s first-ever apartment community. The success of that project has since led to multiple new developments and an ever-expanding footprint in the central Ohio apartment market.  Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University and went on to receive a law degree from The Ohio State Moritz College of Law. After completing his education, he practiced complex litigation law before becoming a principal at Wilcox Communities.
